Reporting to: Asst Vice President / Vice President
Job Description & Key Focus Areas :
- Plan, design and draft reports/studies relating to Urban Transport projects such as Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMPs), Parking Studies, Detailed Project Report (DPRs), traffic improvements etc
- Client Management at all levels
- Interaction with business associates, partners, sub-consultants
- Contract Management and Contract Administration
- Conceptualise ideas and develop new business ideas/concepts
- Prepare new project proposals, TORs (Terms of Reference)/Scope of Services
- Support Business Development team in preparation of approach and methodology, project structuring
- Mentor and guide a team of young professionals and efficiently delivery of multiple projects as per timelines of the projects
Specific Demands on the job:
- Job would demand regular travel for project development and delivery
Qualifications:
- The candidate should be a Post-Graduate in Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering
Post Qualification Experience:
- 8 to 10 years respectively in areas of transport planning (advisory) with a focus on planning/supervision/implementation/management of schemes/projects, project deliveries, business development etc.
- Knowledge of Transport Demand Modelling (Transport related softwares i.e. VISSIM, VISUM, Cube)
Competencies required :
Transport Planning with expertise in:
1) Non-motorised transport (NMT)
2) City Bus Services (CBS)
3) Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS)
4) Rail based Transit System
5) Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS)
6) Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) / Comprehensive Traffic and Transport studies
7) Transit Oriented Development (TOD)
- Well versed with Report writing and making power point presentations
- Knowledge of Government policies, acts and framework related to development in Urban Transport and Government schemes/programmes
- Experience of handling project relationships across various agencies
- Ability to supervise outsourced work through agencies and quality management of outputs
- Ability to work across domains and grasp domain essentials within a short time to be able to deliver projects
- Knowledge of Financial Modelling in transport sector would be an added qualification
